Thomas Mercer two day

Made in 1971 by Thomas Mercer of St Albans, the last English chronometer maker. It represents the end of the great English chronometer making trade which supplied the world with these beautiful instruments. This fine example has a fully spotted movement with Earnshaw spring detent escapement and palladium balance spring, in two stage mahogany gimballed box. Fully restored with five year guarantee.
